Drifting

Solitude and companionship

Discerning which and when

No easy task

Like birds carried with the wind

Content with the journey

No pre-determined destination

Darkness’ vortex pulled

Yet a ray of sun reached out

Solace was found in a warm embrace

The moon still moves the tides

No one can escape its influence

This vessel must be on the move again

Staying is safe

Yet like a rip current

Pulls in the wrong direction

The wind is tugging me

I surrender to the unknown

Trusting in its divine source

Another shore beckons

This safe harbor is marked

We will return

My gratitude is insufficient

I am indebted to our friendship

Wish me fair winds
